How to install LAN driver in Windows 98 Second Edition ============================================================== 1. Insert the "Driver and Utility" CD to CDROM/DVDROM device. 2. Double click [My Computer], double click [Control Panel], double click [System]. 3. Click on [Device Manager] tab. 4. Click on [Refresh] button. 5. System will find new hardware "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter" or "PCI Network Controller" 6. Click "Update Driver". 7. Click on [Next] twice. 8. Please select "Specify a location:" only, and click [Browse...] to select CDROM drive:(example D:)\INTEL_Calexico\PROW7100\WINSE-ME , then click [OK] to confirm driver location 9. Click [Next] three times to start LAN driver install 10. If system request LAN Driver location, it locate in CDROM drive:\INTEL_Calexico\PROW7100\WINSE-ME 11. if system request you insert "Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM", click [OK] and select the Windows 98 Second Edition source to "c:\windows\options\cabs" for Reovery CD user. (or you need to insert "Windows 98 Second Edition" CD to CDROM device, and select source to CDROM drive) 12. Click [OK] to start copy driver from Windows 98 Second Edition source. 13. Click [Finish] button. Please restart system to finish LAN driver install. 14. After Reboot. Please execute CDROM drive:\INTEL_Calexico\PROSet\WIN98SEME\PROSET.EXE, and complete the dialogue box.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
