73xPLPS Firmware Update Instruction Important notice before update: 1. Please use PC (Windows system) to update firmware. 2. It is recommended that power off other external devices, such as printer, scaner, CD-ROM... etc, to prevent unexpected problems. 3. It is recommended that put ribbon cassette into the printer in order to trace error message if update fails. Procedure: 1. Connect USB cable to the printer 2. Power on the printer 3. Execute "BurnFW.exe" 4. "Processing" will show up on the LCD preview page for around 3.5 minutes. (Don't interrupt update process or click any message button when LED is blinking.) 5. Printer resets itself after completing update. 6. For normal update, home menu will show up on LCD screen and green LED stops blinking after reset. "Select block" normally moves on LCD screen whenever direction key is pressed. How to do it if update fails? Case 1. If you update firmware via PC, and PC monitor shows ¡¥Firmware checksum error¡¦. A: 1. Confirm that you upzip all files of update kit at the same directory. 2. Power off the printer and power on it again. 3. Restart your PC if necessary. 4. Reconnect USB again 5. Update it again. Case 2. If orange LED of the printer blinks 16 times repeatedly. A: 1. Power off the printer and power on it again. 2. Update firmware again. 3. If you encounter with same problem, contact your dealer. Case 3.If power loses during update. 1. If LCD screen does not light up and orange LED of the printer blinks 13 times repeatedly. A: (1) Power off the printer (2) Follow update procedure to upgrade again. (3) Check if green LED blinks. If yes, firmware update is processing. If no, contact your dealer. 2. If home menu of LCD screen after power on has some random symbols (i.e., abnormal image), and green LED does not light up or keeps blinking. A: (1) Power off the printer (2) Follow update procedure to update again (3) Check if green LED blinks. If yes, firmware update is processing. If no, contact your dealer.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
