If you have antivirus software (*) or other applications running constantly in the background, be sure to quit them before starting the installation process. For more details on how to quit an application, refer to the operation manual of the respective application. (*) Antivirus software: An application designed to guard against a computer virus infecting your computer or removing a virus that has entered your computer. -If the installation dialog window is not visible, it may be hidden behind another window. Use the "Alt" + "Tab" keys to bring the dialog window to foreground. (2-2) OS Versions Supported -PixLab is designed to run under Windows 95, 98, Me, or Windows 2000 Professional. (2-4) SV Photo Capture -Operating SV Photo Capture software simultaneously with another application that frequently accesses system resources, may degrade performance or cause errors. Lower the rate as follows: 1) Click on the "Connection Settings" button. 2) Select a lower transmission rate from the "Speed" list box. (First select 9600, then gradually increase the rate.) -If the "Connecting..." or "Processing..." dialog box remains open too long, click on the "Cancel" button, then check that the cable is properly connected. -Data transmission errors may also be due to a malfunctioning serial port on your computer. Check the serial port by operating device manager: 1) Click on the "Start" button, and click on the "Control Panel" in the "Settings" menu. The Control Panel opens. 2) Double click on the "System" icon. (*1) The "System Properties" dialog box opens. 3) Click on the "Device Manager" tab.
