    SiS IDE Driver Installation For OS/2

[Install from Floppy]

1. Open OS2 Windows or OS2 Full Screen.
2. Change Directory to A:\OS2.
3. Run INSTOS2.EXE
4. Reboot OS/2 system.

[Install from CD-ROM]
===============================================
1. Put the Driver CD in CD-ROM Drive.
2. Open OS2 Windows or OS2 Full Screen.
3. Change Drive to CD-ROM Drive.
4. Change Directory to \IDE\OS2.
5. Run INSTOS2.EXE
6. Reboot OS/2 system.

[Note 1] Default Transfer Mode is ^Master DMA Mode
[Note 2] Add /!M option after BASEDEV=SISIDE.ADD in
         CONFIG.SYS to disable ^Master DMA Mode

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
