Upgrading your ProImage XL3000 Interface 

Use this program to update your XL3000 interface board so that it works with the new ProImage Plus3000/XL3000 print driver. The ProImage Plus3000/XL3000 print driver now supports Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000.


Operating Environment:
* PC/AT compatible machine with parallel interface
* Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000

Files needed:
PPWRITE.EXE
PRO_11.MOT


Upgrading Instructions:

1. Connect your PC to your ProImage XL3000 PosterPrinter using the parallel interface cable.

2. Turn on the printer.

3. Double click on the file PPWRITE.EXC to launch it. You will see the PPIF ROM Writer screen.

4. Click 'Update' to begin the update process. The message "PC/IF Programming Completed. Please power down the printer." appears.

5. Make sure that the "ON LINE" LED light on the control panel of the ProImage XL3000 PosterPrinter is blinking, and then turn the printer off.

6. Click "Exit" to leave the PPIF ROM Writer screen, this completes the interface board upgrade procedure.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
