Improvements in 4.3.2.75: * Fixes a problem in the previous version where the driver was missing the Glossy media type. Version 4.3.2.75 has full support for Glossy paper. * Fixes a problem in the previous version where the driver incorrectly contrains A5, B5, and Executive size paper from Tray2 or Tray3. This version has full support for these paper sizes. * The previous version of the driver did not have full support for Heavy paper. Version 4.3.2.75 has full support for Heavy media. Known Issues in 4.3.2.75: * The Windows Printer Test Page may not print completely during an Add Printer install when installing a driver for a printer attached to a network printer server. After installation the Windows Printer Test page can be printed by going to Start->Settings->Printers, right-clicking on the printer icon, select Properties and pressing Print Test Page. This is a Windows operating system defect. * Changes to Printer Driver Properties may not stick after upgrading to this driver version in NT4.0 from the New Driver button on the General Tab of the Printer Properties. If this occurs, delete the driver from the Printers folder and reinstall using Add Printer. * If you use the driver's NT Forms tab to link paper sizes and types with paper trays you will be limited to selecting just the sizes and types that were linked from most applications. If you cannot select a specific paper size or type from within your applications printing settings you should remove all tray assignments from the NT Froms tab by bringing up the NT Forms tab, clicking on the "Clear All" button, and pressing the OK button. --- Version 4.3.2.44 --- New functionality in 4.3.2.44: * This version features a new user interface which provides the drivers with a common look and feel. Future printer drivers will also incorporate this enhanced usability design. This version includes numerous features that enable you to improve the quality, appearance, and performance of print jobs. Features such as HP ZoomSmart, Quick Sets, booklet printing, and watermarks are fully supported. Improvements in 4.3.2.44: * Fixes a problem in the previous version of the driver where Tray3 cannot be accessed by a user with "user" rights from an NT4 client machine when printing to an NT4 server. * Fixes a problem in the previous version of the Traditional Chinese driver where some characters fail to print. * The previous version of the driver can take an excessive amount of time to print some PowerPoint files. Tests show version 4.3.2.44 to have greatly improved performance over the previous version. Known Issues in 4.3.2.44: * This version of the driver is missing Glossy media in the Type Is: drop-down list on the Paper tab. To print on Glossy paper you must follow these steps: 1. Load Glossy paper into one of the printer's paper trays. 2. Set the paper type for that paper tray to Gloss in the printer's control panel. Advance to the Paper Handling Menu, then press the Item button until "Tray X Type=" (where X is the tray with Glossy paper) is displayed in the printer's control panel. Press the Value button until Gloss is displayed, then press Select to save the setting. 3. Select the tray which contains the glossy paper in the Source Is: drop-down list on the Paper tab of the printer driver properties. Set the Type Is: drop-down selection to Auto Select. 4. Select the Gloss Print Finish checkbox from the Print Quality Details dialog of the printer driver properties. You can get to the Print Quality Details dialog by clicking on the Details button on the Finishing tab of the printer driver properties. Note: Because using Gloss Print Finish reduces printing performance this setting should be turned off when not in use. * The printer driver is incorrectly constraining the use of some paper sizes with some of the paper trays. The following are incorrectly contrained: 1. A5 paper size with Tray 2. 2. B5 paper size with Tray 2 and Tray 3. 3. Executive paper size with Tray 2 and Tray 3. To print to these paper sizes and trays you must follow these steps: 1. Load the paper size into one of the paper trays that supports that paper size. 2. Select the paper size in the Size Is: drop-down list on the Paper tab of the printer driver properties. Set the Source Is: drop-down selection to Auto Select. * Cannot save a custom paper size as "Folio". The error "There are too many custom paper sizes defined. Please delete some before adding new ones." is displayed. * If you select Heavy Paper in the Type Is: drop-down list on the Paper tab of the printer driver properties the driver might not tell the printer to print on Heavy Paper. To print on Heavy Paper you should follow these steps: 1. Load the Heavy paper into one of the printer's paper trays. 2. Set the paper type for that paper tray to Heavy in the printer's control panel. Advance to the Paper Handling Menu, then press the Item button until "Tray X Type=" (where X is the tray with Heavy paper) is displayed in the printer's control panel. Press the Value button until Heavy is displayed, then press Select to save the setting. 3. Select the tray which contains the Heavy paper in the Source Is: drop-down list on the Paper tab of the printer driver properties. Set the Type Is: drop-down selection to Auto Select. * The Windows Printer Test Page may not print completely during an Add Printer install when installing a driver for a printer attached to a network printer server. If you cannot select a specific paper size or type from within your applications printing settings you should remove all tray assignments from the NT Froms tab by bringing up the NT Forms tab, clicking on the "Clear All" button, and pressing the OK button.Download Driver Pack
