======================================================================= Cogency Connection Manager - Beta Feb 20, 2003 Version 0.9.1 ======================================================================= -------------------------- Operating System Supported -------------------------- Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, (future versions will support Windows 98ME, 98SE) --------- File List --------- CogencyCM_install.exe - Installer for Cogency Connection Manager -------------------------- Installation Instructions -------------------------- Run CogencyCM_install.exe and follow instructions ----------------------------------------- Release Notes ----------------------------------------- This is a Beta release, intended for OEM evaluation and feedback only. The release has the following known issues: Known Issues - “Matrix link performance” feature requires local host activity to gather complete matrix link performance table. - Network password mismatch detection requires local host activity to detect key mismatch under all circumstances. Currently, a mismatch is detected if the mismatched nodes are using one of the known standard default networks passwords or if the mismatch nodes attempt to communicate on the power line network. - HomePlug-Ethernet Bridging loop detection persists even after condition is removed. The bridging tables take 5 minutes to age entries out. During this time, the diagnostics may continue to report a bridging loop problem even though it has been corrected. The work-around is to cycle power on the affected nodes to clear their bridging tables. ----------------- Technical support ----------------- For information on how to contact Cogency Semiconductor technical support, refer to www.cogency.com. ============================================================== Copyright 2003, Cogency Semiconductor Inc.
