Readme.txt for UltraTV PCI 300 & 350 5.0.3.4 update


1) Uninstall Previous UltraTV and Application.  Restart your computer 
   if needed.

2) When the "New Device Found" windows appear, Press Cancel.

3) Browse to the c:\AverMedia\UltraTVPCI300_5-0-3-4\Driver directory.

4) Launch InstallDriver.exe.

5) If the Windows Logo pop-up warning appears, press "Continue Anyway".

6) Browse to the c:\AverMedia\UltraTVPCI300_5-0-3-4\Driver\UltraTV 
   directory.

7) Launch Setup.exe.

8) Follow the onscreen instructions to install the UltraTV application.

9) Launch the UltraTV application (Double click Desktop icon or launch 
   from Start Menu).

10) On the Video Setup Window, check the settings and click "Next".

11) On the Audio Setup Window, Follow instructions depending on device:

Instructions for Realtek High Definition audio:

11a) set the Mixer Device "Realtek HD Audio Rear Input" Record pulldown 
     to "Line In".
11b) Set the Mixer Device "Realtek HD Audio Rear Output" Live pulldown 
     to "Line In".
11c) If these are not set properly, you may encounter problems with 
     audio in timeshift and recording modes.

Instructions for all other audio:

11d) Set the Mixer Device Live and Record pulldowns to "Line In".

12) On Channel Setuop Window, Select the appropriate Video Source 
    (antenna or cable) and press Channel Scan button.

13) Click on Finish to complete the installation.

14) Note: If you have problems with the volume indicator meter on the 
    control panel, you may need to enter the Setup menu, go to the audio
    tab, switch the Mixer Device to Line In, then exit and restart the 
    application.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
