Thanks for purchasing PLANET intelligent 8+2G Manageable Switch, WGSD-1020.
This document provides the firmware release note and history of this product.

Firmware version: 3.20,2005/07/12

This firmware provides the following modification:

A: Enhancement- 

1. Regular firmware upgrade.

Upgrade procedure:
1. Please setup a TFTP server and copy the firmware file to the TFTP server folder.
2. Please Enter WGSD-1020 web interface.
3. Select " TFTP Update Firmware" from the menu and input the TFTP Server IP Address(ex.192.168.0.1) and firmware File Name
   (ex.image.bin)
4. Please click "Apply" to update the firmware of WGSD-1020.
5. When the "Image download complete.Would you make sure to update firmware?" appears. Press "Update Firmware" to continue.
   Please note do not power off the WGSD-1020 during the firmware upgrade process.
6. When "Reboot Switch System" screen appears. Please click "Reboot" to restart the Switch. After power on completed,then 
   you can start to use the new firmware.


Firmware Release History:  

Firmware version: 3.08,2003/07/31

This firmware provides the following modification:

A: Bug fix - 
1. IEEE 802.1Q VLAN settings can not save after reboot the Switch.

B: Enhancement - 
1. Allow user to use the "Arrow" keys to move the highlight over a selection. 

Firmware version:3.1, 2003/5/31

This firmware provides the following modification:

A: Bug fix - 
1. After logout from the telnet interface, can not access telnet interface again. 
2. After reboot Switch, can't not access web interface again from original web screen.

Firmware version: 2.8, 2002/11/20. Initial release

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
