Installation Procedures
-----------------------

 1. Plug the adapter into the PCI slot.

 2. Power on your PC.

 3. Windows 98 will prompt "PCI Ethernet Controller" in "Add New Hardware
    Wizard" dialog box, click <NEXT> button.

 4. Select "Search for the best driver for your device" from "Add New Hardware
    Wizard" dialog box, then click <NEXT> button.

 5. Insert driver disk bundled with "Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter/Fiber 
    Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter".

 6. Enter the driver pathname, then click the <NEXT> button from "Add New
    Hardware Wizard" dialog box.

    Example :

             A:\

 7. Select your installed adapter - "Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter/Fiber
    Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter", then click the <NEXT> button from the
    dialog box.

 8. To complete the process, please follow the instructions on the screen.

 9. Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
