PrintGuide - Manual installation of printer configuration
---------------------------------------------------------------
Describes how to manually update the printer description in
  PrintServers.

  1. Start PrintGuide(tm).

  2. Locate the PrintServer on the list of Detected Devices
     and double-click it.

  3. Locate a Logical Printer that match your requirements
     and double-click it.

  4. Change the description so it becomes unique to you (write
it down to ease later identification of the logical printer).

  5. Click File, Save As to save the configuration to file (*.cf2).

  6. Open the configuration file in a plain text editor (Notepad).

  7. Search for the description you wrote down earlier.
Write down the printer incarnation id.
     Example (incarnation is 8): BEGIN_CONFIGURATION PRINTER 8

  8. Open the relevant printer description file (*.itc) in a plain
text editor (Notepad). A collection of these files were
installed together with PrintGuide(tm) in a subdirectory
     named 'Printer Descriptions'.

  9. Edit the file to match the printer incarnation you wrote down
earlier (example 8) and save the file under a new name.

 10. Select the PrintServer in PrintGuide(tm).

 11. Click Actions, Download from File.

 12. Change Files of Type to 'Printer Configuration Template (*.itc)'.
     Select the modified its file.

 13. Click Open and OK to download the file. The PrintServer
will now merge the *.itc file with its current configuration.
     The PrintServer must be restarted.
