PrintGuide - Manual installation of printer configuration

Describes how to manually update the printer description in
PrintServers.
1. Start PrintGuide(tm).
2. Locate the PrintServer on the list of Detected Devices
and double-click it.
3. Locate a Logical Printer that match your requirements
and double-click it.
4. Change the description so it becomes unique to you (write
it down to ease later identification of the logical printer).
5. Click File, Save As to save the configuration to file (*.cf2).
6. Open the configuration file in a plain text editor (Notepad).
7. Search for the description you wrote down earlier.
Write down the printer incarnation id.
Example (incarnation is 8): BEGIN_CONFIGURATION PRINTER 8
8. Open the relevant printer description file (*.itc) in a plain
text editor (Notepad). A collection of these files were
installed together with PrintGuide(tm) in a subdirectory
named 'Printer Descriptions'.
9. Edit the file to match the printer incarnation you wrote down
earlier (example 8) and save the file under a new name.
10. Select the PrintServer in PrintGuide(tm).
11. Click Actions, Download from File.
12. Change Files of Type to 'Printer Configuration Template (*.itc)'.
Select the modified its file.
13. Click Open and OK to download the file. The PrintServer
will now merge the *.itc file with its current configuration.
The PrintServer must be restarted.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
