The driver (PCIND.386) contained in the directory \WFW311 is for
the following PCI Ethernet adapter:

        32-bit PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter

The driver (PCIND.386) conforms to the Network Driver Interface
Specification (NDIS) 3.0, and is used with Microsoft Windows for Workgroups.

(A) Installing PCIND NDIS3 driver on Windows for Workgroups
==========================================================

    1. Run WIN.COM from the DOS prompt to start the Windows system.
    2. Click on the "Network" icon in the Main Program Group.
    3. Click on the "Network Setup" icon in the "Network" dialog box.
    4. Click the "Drivers..." button in the "Network Setup" dialog box.
    5. Click "Add Adapters..." button in the "Network Drivers" dialog box.
    6. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" from the
       "Add Network Adapter" dialog box and then click the OK button.
    7. Insert the 32-bit PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Driver Diskette
       in your floppy drive.
    8. Enter the driver's full pathname A:\WFW311 into the "Install Driver"
       dialog box and then click the OK button.
    9. Select "32-bit PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" from the "Unlisted or 
       Updated Network Adapter" dialog box, then click the OK button.
   10. Click the "Close" button in the "Network Drivers" dialog box.
   11. Click the OK button in the "Network Setup" dialog box.
   12. Following the screen prompts to complete the driver installation.
   13. Restart your computer to initialize the network function.


(B) Configuring PCIND NDIS3 driver on Windows for Workgroups
===========================================================

    1. Click the "Network" icon in the Main Program Group.
    2. Click the "Network Setup" icon in the "Network" dialog box.
    3. Click "Drivers..." button in the "Network Setup" dialog box.
    4. Click "Setup..." button in the "Network Drivers" dialog box.
    5. Click "Advanced..." button in the "32-bit PCI Fast
       Ethernet Adapter" dialog box.
    6. Select the parameter item to be configured and select the parameter
       value, then click the "Set" button and click the OK button in the
       "32-bit PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" dialog box.

       NDIS3 driver (PCIND.386) parameter options:

         Adpater's Bus Number:      0..255  (default is Not present)
         Adpater's Device Number:   0..31   (default is Not present)

    7. Click OK button in the "32-bit PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter"
       dialog box.
    8. Click "Close" button in the "Network Drivers" dialog box.
    9. Click OK button in the "Network Setup" dialog box.
   10. Following the screen prompts to complete the driver installation.
   11. Restart your computer to initialize the network function.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
