1. General cautions
--------------------------------------------------------------
(1) The camera icon on the screen may stay displayed, if the camera is
not operated for a long time, the camera's main switch is set to <OFF>
or the interface cable is unplugged while the camera is connected with
a computer. The camera may not function correctly during this condition.
Shut down and restart the computer before connecting them again.
(2) If you have set [Save all pictures to this folder] in the camera
properties, extensions are not added to the names of saved RAW image
file names. Choose a saved image and input an extension (CR2) or save
the image using [Camera Window].
(3) Even if you have set [Actions] in the camera properties, in some
cases the settings may not be reflected.
(4) When a camera is connected, a started up program may display warning
messages [Cannot find the TWAIN data source. Reinstall the scanner
software.].
In this case, use WIA-TWAIN driver, selecting [WIA-model] from the TWAIN
selection screen in the start up program.
(5) Using WIA-TWAIN driver selecting [Detail] from the view menu may result
in an error message or a system shutdown. If this happens, select the
[Thumbnails] view setting to use the WIA-TWAIN driver.
(6) The WIA Driver does not support capture or management of RAW image
files. To capture or manage RAW image files, use [Camera Window].
2. Cautions on [Scanner and Camera Wizard]
--------------------------------------------------------------
(1) Rotating an image in the camera may result deleting shooting
information. Rotate images saved in the computer.
(2) Saving an image in the camera into a computer may result thumbnail
display with wrong rotation orientation.
(3) Setting automatic saving of all images when a camera is connected
may result incorrect time setting of saved images with several hours
advanced or delayed.
(4) If you copy image data into another folder on the window displayed
by selecting [Explore Camera (Advanced)], subsequent operation of the
Wizard may be unstable. Do not copy image data on the window displayed
by clicking [Explore camera (Advanced)].
(5) RAW images in the camera cannot be saved to the computer with the
[Scanner and Camera Wizard].
(6) If you select [Cancel] during copying images, copying may not be
possible afterwards even if you try to copy them again. Set the camera's
main switch to <OFF> and exit [Scanner and Camera Wizard], and then set
the main switch to <ON> again.
(7) Do not use the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] to rotate images.
If an image is rotated using the [Scanner and Camera Wizard],
it may not be correctly displayed in the [Zoom Browser] or other viewing software.
3. Cautions on operation on the Explorer
--------------------------------------------------------------
(1) The thumbnail list may not display correctly when the camera icon is
selected. If this happens, select [Refresh] from the [View] menu.
(2) Date and time may be recorded with several hours advanced or delayed
when an image in camera is saved into a computer by dragging and dropping.
(3) If there are multiple files with the same file name in the camera,
errors may occur when displaying their thumbnails.
