Reinstsall Procedure:
If you receive a new driver for EN2218, you need to reinstall the
driver. To completely install the new driver, you need to remove information
about the old driver first.
Depending on which previous version of EN2218 driver you have installed,
and depending on the version of Windows 95 you use, the information about
the original driver may be stored in different locations on the hard disk.
The following is a step-by-step guide to help you to remove all the
related files.
In the following discussion, it is assumed the Windows 95 system files
are installed under the \WINDOWS directory. If necessary, change the
name of this directory to match your particular installation.
1. Change directory to \WINDOWS\INF. Note that this directory
is hidden, but you can change directory into it.
2. There may have one or two OEMx.INF files in \WINDOWS\INF that
contains EN2218 information (x in OEMx.INF represents a digit,
such as OEM0.INF.) Check the content of all the OEMx.INF files,
and delete those that are related to EN2218.
3. In \WINDOWS\INF, search for and delete the following two files:
ETHPCMDM.INF
ETHPCNET.INF
If these two files do not exist, ignore this step.
4. If the directory \WINDOWS\INF\OTHER exists, carry out this step.
Otherwise go to Step 5.
Delete the following files existed in \WINDOWS\INF\OTHER:
MicrosoftETHPCMF.inf
MicrosoftETHPCMDM.inf
MicrosoftETHPCNET.inf
5. In Control Panel, select the System icon, and then select the
Device Manager tab.
6. Double click on the "Multi-function adapters" item. The "Accton
EN2218 Multi-function PC Card" entry appears. Click on this entry
to select it.
7. Press the Remove button. When the system asks for confirmation,
select OK.
8. After the system removes the Multi-function device, the associated
Modem and LAN devices are also removed. The system then asks you
to confirm to restart the system. Select OK.
9. After the system restarts, please follow the steps under the
"installation steps" to install the new driver.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
