There are three drivers: Mega4_xx.ham, Mega4xx.dsk, and Mega3_1xx.dsk. Mega3_1xx.dsk works with: a. Netware v3.12+NWPAUPGRADE package, Mega4_xx.ham or Mega4xx.dsk works with: a. Netware v4.11+NWPAUPGRADE package b. Netware v4.2 Only Mega4_xx.ham works with: a. Netware v5 2. When using 4.11, first load the .dsk drivers, then install the service pack, and then unload the .dsk and load the .ham. 3. Use the MEGA4_xx.ham driver whenever possible. The other drivers are provided for older versions of Netware. 4. These drivers work with all MegaRAID Controllers (428, 434, 431, 438, 466, 762) 5. The driver will load and display all possible slots where it find a supporting device. (Ex. If there are 2 438's in the system in slot 2 & 7, the driver will display slots 2 & 7 and prompt the user to choose a slot number. If the driver is loaded a second time, it will only display the last unused slot. Bug fixes: 1) Fixed command line procesing of slot option. 2) Fixed subsystem ID bug for multiple load instances. Enhancements: 1) Added NS switch for support of Intel type RPX adapters which have no signature. 2) Added hot plug support. Known restrictions/bugs: 1) Non-HDD devices are not supported with Netware 5.0. 2) Virtual sizing is not supported with Netware 5.0. 3) 438, 466, and 762 MegaRAID controllers must manually load device driver after a hot plug instance. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
